PARTNER - Frances Hewitt
Frances is the Firm’s Founding Partner, having opened the Business in October 1993.
She has over 30 years experience as a Solicitor and, apart from a short spell working in Glasgow, has spent most of this time in business in Irvine.
Frances is registered with Disclosure Scotland and is regularly appointed by Kilmarnock Sheriff Court as a Child Welfare Reporter in family cases.
Frances has built up a busy private law business advising clients on a wide range of legal matters including Family Law, Wills, Executries, Powers of Attorney and Conveyancing.
She is a member of the Family Law Association and regularly appears at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
PARTNER - Kathleen Murray
Kathleen has over 25 years experience as a Solicitor and Notary Public and has been a partner at McKinnon Hewitt since she joined the Firm in 2001.
Kathleen specialises in Family Law.
Kathleen is a member of the Scottish Family Law Association and has a wide range of knowledge and expertise in Child and Family Law matters including separation and divorce, financial provision, cohabitation claims, Parental Rights, residence and contact, Adoption and Children’s Hearings.
Kathleen is registered with Disclosure Scotland and she is regularly appointed by Kilmarnock Sheriff Court as a Child Welfare Reporter.
Kathleen also advises clients in relation to other aspects of private Law including Reparation Claims and Wills.
